When negative things happen you have a choice.
Take it with you or leave it there.
Do you want it to become your trigger, your baggage, something you hold onto or do you want to leave it there and not let it become a part of you?
I used to let things become a part of me.
I used to give those things power over my life.
Making decisions based on past situations that may never happen again.
But all it would do is create heaviness, and baggage and just store itself up in my mental attic.
What I soon realized is that way of living didn’t serve me.
It didn’t honor me and it sure as heck didn’t help me in any way.
So I started to release my baggage, little by little, bag by bag, box by box, clearing out my mental attic.
I started to feel lighter and happier and much more clear headed.
Now when negative things happen I allow space to feel the wave of emotions needed to, learn whatever lesson that presents itself and then simply leave it there.
No longer taking the negative events with me, no longer having heaviness around me.
We don’t have to take things with us.
That doesn’t discredit whatever happened, it just allows you to process much quicker and deal with things much faster.
Your past doesn’t define you.
It is not who you are and frankly sometimes things just happen.
But you are a magical butterfly, light as a feather.
Always remember that. You are enough?
