Still on that Star Wars high, when i found myself thinking of Yoda. He said “YOU must unlearn what you have learned”. I found this to be super true today.
We learn at a young age to look to other people to solve our internal problems, to fix things for us, validate things for us and re-assure us.
When in reality, what will help us better is looking inside ourselves to solve our own internal problems.
Today I found myself reaching to other people to anchor myself, to help me work out an internal problem and when they weren’t available to do so I got upset.
What I realized was that I needed to actually relax into my inner edges and lean into myself to work out my internal issue. Once I was able to do so, not only was I able to let it go faster but realize how perfect it was for me to do that for myself.
So this brings me to this idea; what if before we reached out to others to work out a situation, we looked deep inside ourselves to figure out the following:
1. Is it even that deep?
2. What is triggering us?
3. If others are involved is it even about you or is it their own shit?
4. What are you doing to co-create this situation?
5. is this a pattern?
6. What is the gold in the situation? (Because there is always gold in every situation)
Once you are able to answer those questions, allow yourself to feel your emotions.
Cry it out if you need to.
Sit in it, lean into your edges so hard that those edges become soft.
Take as much quiet time that you need and then think of the people involved, forgive them, forgive yourself and send them love.
And finally, realize that there’s neither good nor bad, neither negative nor positive, that everything is divinely perfect in every moment and there’s always gold in there for you.
